On 9th April 2025, the students of S. Thangapazham Law College actively participated in a Mediation Awareness Rally organized by the District Court, Tenkasi, in collaboration with the college. The event was part of a broader initiative to promote awareness about Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms, particularly mediation, as a cost-effective, time-saving, and peaceful method of resolving legal disputes.
The rally witnessed the enthusiastic participation of around 90 law students, accompanied by faculty members. The students carried placards and banners promoting the benefits of mediation and raised slogans advocating for peaceful resolution of disputes outside of traditional litigation.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Principal District Judge, Mr. Rajavel and Additional District Judge, Sub Judge, Chief Judicial Magistrate and Judicial Magistrate of Tenkasi District. The esteemed chief guests delivered an insightful address on the significance and effectiveness of mediation in the justice delivery system. His enlightening speech provided students with a profound understanding of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and their growing importance in the legal landscape. Our Students of S Thangapazham Law College delivered a speech on the concept of mediation and awarded them with token of remembrance.
